Despatch & handling
Orders and won lots are prepared at our bonded facility in Copenhagen. We aim to despatch within 2–4 working days of cleared payment — a little longer for sealed sets and signed studio builds, which are condition-checked and re-housed before they leave us.
You will receive a tracking reference and a despatch confirmation the moment your parcel is collected by the carrier. High-value lots ship only to the verified billing address on file, or to an address agreed in writing with our concierge.
Payment to despatch
Lots are released once payment has fully cleared. Bank transfers can take 1–3 days to settle; card and approved instant methods clear same-day.
Combined shipping
Win or buy several pieces inside a 14-day window and we will consolidate them into one insured consignment — you pay carriage once. Ask the concierge to hold despatch.
Local collection
Collect in person from our Copenhagen bond by appointment, free of carriage. Photo ID matching the buyer account is required at handover.
02
Carriers & coverage
We ship worldwide. Within Denmark and the Nordics we use GLS and PostNord; across the rest of the EU and internationally we use UPS and FedEx on fully tracked, signature-on-delivery services. Every route is covered for the full declared value of the contents.
Carriage is calculated at checkout from the destination, weight and declared value — there are no hidden mark-ups. EU orders over €500 ship free. A signature is required on all deliveries; we cannot release parcels to unattended addresses, lockers or freight-forwarders for high-value lots.

Duties, VAT & customs
POP GRIT is a Danish business and prices are shown including Danish VAT where it applies. Collectibles sold from our own stock are handled under the EU margin scheme, so VAT is charged on our margin rather than the full price and is not separately reclaimable.
Within the EU
No customs formalities and nothing further to pay on delivery — goods move freely inside the single market. The price at checkout is the price you pay.
UK & non-EU
Shipments leave the EU as exports. Import VAT and any duty are levied by the destination country and are the buyer's responsibility, billed by the carrier on entry (DDU). On request we can quote a delivered-duty-paid (DDP) rate so there is nothing to settle on arrival.
Honest declarations
We declare the true purchase value on all paperwork — this is what your transit insurance is based on. We cannot mark consignments as "gift" or under-declare value.
05
Packaging & insurance
Condition is everything to a collector, so packing is treated as part of the lot. Sealed sets travel in a rigid outer carton with corner protection so the original box is never load-bearing; minifigures and small rarities are housed in archival cases; studio builds ship braced in custom-cut foam, often in the display case they were sold with.
Every consignment is insured door to door for 100% of its declared value, at no extra cost to you. Cover runs until the parcel is signed for. If anything arrives damaged, it is a claim we manage on your behalf — see refunds & damage claims.
06
The two-track return policy
How a piece came to you decides whether it can be returned. A winning bid at auction is a binding purchase; a fixed-price marketplace order placed by a consumer carries a statutory cooling-off period. Both are backed, without exception, by our authenticity guarantee.
Track A · Auction
Won at hammer
A successful bid is a contract of sale. Auction purchases are final and are not subject to a change-of-mind return — the standard position for public auctions across the EU.
ReturnAuthenticity guarantee only
Track B · Marketplace
Bought buy-now
Fixed-price orders placed by consumers within the EU carry the statutory right of withdrawal: send it back within 14 days, no reason required, provided it is unused and complete.

07
Returns — auction lots
When you place the winning bid you enter a binding contract to buy that lot at the hammer price plus buyer's premium. Auction lots are therefore sold as described, as is, and cannot be returned because you have changed your mind.
This is why we publish a full condition report, high-resolution imagery and provenance for every lot, and invite questions before bidding closes. You are always welcome to request additional photographs or arrange a viewing in Copenhagen ahead of the sale.
Your protection sits in the authenticity guarantee: if a lot is later found not to be genuine, or is materially not as described in the catalogue, you may return it for a full refund of the hammer price and premium.
08
Returns — marketplace purchases
For fixed-price "buy-now" orders, consumers in the EU have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days from the day the goods are received. You can cancel for any reason — no justification needed — by notifying our concierge within that window, then returning the item.
Condition on return
Items must come back complete and in original condition, with all packaging, certificates and accessories. You may inspect a piece as you would in a shop, but handling beyond that may reduce the refund.
Sealed sets
A sealed set's value is the seal. Once factory seals or shrink-wrap are broken the set can no longer be returned under the cooling-off right, as its condition cannot be restored.
Return carriage
For a change-of-mind return the buyer covers return shipping, fully insured. Where an item is faulty or not as described, we pay carriage both ways.
Business buyers
The 14-day withdrawal right is a consumer protection. Trade and business accounts are governed by our standard terms of sale rather than the cooling-off period.
09
How to return a piece
Whether you are exercising the cooling-off right or raising an authenticity claim, the route is the same — and it always starts with a conversation, never an unannounced parcel.
01
Tell us
Contact the concierge within your return window with the order or lot number and the reason. We confirm eligibility the same working day.
02
We authorise
You receive a return authorisation and a pre-paid, fully insured carrier label with collection booked from your address.
03
Pack & send
Re-house the piece in its original packing to collector standard. Photograph it before sealing — useful if any transit query arises.
04
We inspect
On arrival our specialists verify condition within 3 working days, then release your refund. We keep you posted at each stage.
10
Refunds & damage claims
How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to your original payment method within 14 days of us receiving and accepting the return. For accepted authenticity claims we refund the full hammer price and buyer's premium, plus your return carriage.
Damaged in transit
Inspect on arrival. Report any damage to the concierge within 48 hours with photographs of the parcel and contents. As every consignment is fully insured, we manage the carrier claim and arrange repair, replacement or refund — you are not left to chase it.
Lost in transit
If tracking stalls, we open an investigation with the carrier and keep you informed. Should a parcel be confirmed lost, you are refunded or the piece replaced where possible.
Statutory rights
Nothing here limits your rights under Danish or EU consumer law. Where this policy and the law differ, the law prevails.
