Effective 12 August 2026

POPGRIT is operated by Popgrit LLC (Delaware, USA) — “we”, “us”. This policy explains what we collect on popgrit.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Questions any time: member@popgrit.com.

What we collect

Account. When you register we collect your username, email address and display name, and the password you set (stored hashed — we never see it). Your profile on Comms can include the details and images you choose to add.

Community activity. Drops, replies, votes, follows and media you post to Comms are collected and shown to other visitors — that’s what the feed is. Media you upload for the community is stored with our media storage provider (Cloudflare R2).

Marketplace. If you buy, bid or sell, we collect the order, bid and payout details needed to run the marketplace (items, amounts, addresses, seller store details). Card and payment details go directly to our payment processors — we do not store card numbers.

Guest interactions. You can browse and vote on Comms without an account. Guest votes are keyed to a one-way hash derived from your IP address and browser — we can’t identify you from it, it just stops double-voting.

Technical & security. Like every site, our servers and security tools (Wordfence) log IP addresses, login attempts and requests to keep accounts safe and abuse out.

Email. If you write to member@popgrit.com we keep the correspondence. Service emails (account, orders, security) are sent to every member; marketing email is sent only if you ticked the consent box at registration — we record when and where you consented.

How we use it

To run the site and marketplace, show the community feed, process orders and payouts, keep accounts secure, answer your messages, send service messages, send marketing only with your consent, and understand how the site is used (Google Analytics, in aggregate). We don’t sell your personal data, and we don’t use it for automated decisions with legal effect.

Who we share it with

Only the providers that make the site work, under their own safeguards: hosting (Hostinger), transactional email (SendGrid via Site Mailer), marketing email (Brevo — consented members only), community media storage (Cloudflare R2), analytics (Google Analytics via Site Kit), payment processors for marketplace transactions, and sellers you transact with (they see what’s needed to fulfil your order). We disclose data beyond that only if the law requires it.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart, and run consent and analytics. You can control cookies in your browser; the site’s consent banner controls non-essential ones.

How long we keep it

Account and community data: while your account exists. Order and transaction records: as long as commercial and tax law requires. Security logs: rotated on a short cycle. Marketing consent records: until you withdraw consent.

Your choices and rights

You can view and edit your profile from your account. You can delete your account yourself from your account page — this removes your personal data, subject to records we must keep (like completed orders). You can unsubscribe from marketing with one click in any marketing email, or by writing to us. Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA and certain US states) you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete or object to processing of your data — write to member@popgrit.com and we’ll act on it.

Where it’s processed

We are a US company and our providers process data in the United States and the European Union. Wherever it’s processed, this policy applies.

Children

POPGRIT is not directed at children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has an account, contact us and we’ll remove it.

Changes

If we change this policy we’ll update it here and adjust the effective date; for material changes affecting members we’ll email you.
